Extending the season was important at this summer cottage. To replace a rectangular deck, Pennings & Sons designed and built a conventional room addition that really feels more like a porch. A large picture window frames a view of the lake while the bead board paneling and painted wood tongue & groove floor give the feeling of setting out on the Porch. A multi-level deck added interest and function to the outdoor living space. Wide stairs toward the lake allow minimal disruption of the view toward the beach.
